Boscobel, with a population of 3,262 is nestled among the rolling hills adjacent to the Wisconsin River in Southwestern Wisconsin. The region is unique since it is part of a 15,000 square mile area left untouched by glaciation during the last Ice Age.

Boscobel has a rich heritage of historical significance. Boscobel's place in world history is assured because the Hotel Boscobel is the Birthplace of the Gideon Bible and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Hall was a meeting place for veterans of the Civil War and still stands today filled with pictures, flags and other mementos of the Civil War era. The Boscobel Railway Depot has been restored as a museum, visitor center, and chamber office.

Boscobel is located on U.S. Hwy. 61, the only continuous highway that stretches from Canada's Thunder Bay to the Gulf of Mexico.

Boscobel's newly constructed 72-acre Industrial Park has been designed to accommodate industries large and small. All sites are fully developed, and a 21,600 sq.ft. shell building has been constructed and is for sale. Some of the largest private employers in Southwest Wisconsin are located in or near Boscobel: Advance Transformer Co., Boscobel Area Health Care, J & J Sewing, Wilson State Nursery, Rayovac Corporation, Alcan Packaging, Nu-Pak Plastic Packaging and Milk Specialties.

Boscobel is located within 11 miles of the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College at Fennimore, 26 miles from the UW-Richland Center campus, and 40 miles from the UW-Platteville campus.
