Montfort, Wisconsin

"Home of the Fort"

Montfort is conveniently located on U.S. Highway 18. While Montfort provides a quiet, rural atmosphere, it is only 45 minutes from Dubuque, Iowa, and 60 minutes from Madison.

Montfort has its own water and sewer utilities, an on-going street-improvement plan, and is part of an excellent school system. We also have a library, a bowling alley, and a city park with a beautiful swimming pool, walking trail, ball diamond, climbing toys and picnic tables. There are several businesses that supply excellent meals.

Unfortunately, we no longer have the "Montfort on the Move" civic organization, so we no longer hold the "Heritage Days" weekend. We hope to someday get the fort rebuilt in Montfort.
