Tourism and Things to Do

Welcome to Potosi Tennyson signThe non-profit Potosi Brewery Foundation, founded in 2000, has fully restored the historic landmark into a microbrewery, restaurant, gift shop and a Great River Road Interpretive Center within the 30,000-sqare-foot facility, with 7,000 square feet devoted to the National Brewery Museum and Great River Road Interpretive Center. For more information about the Potosi Brewery visit www.potosibrewery.com.

Across the street from the Brewery, the Holiday Gardens Event Center serves dinners and Sunday buffet. The banquet hall has a seating capacity of 500. Contact Holiday Gardens for your next business meeting, conference, class reunion, wedding reception, or family event.

The Grant River flows into the Mississippi at Potosi Point, the Grant River Recreation Area. The campground and recreation property is operated by the Corps of Engineers and offers ideal bird watching opportunities. The Grant River is well-known as an excellent stream for canoeing and fishing. Local businesses rent canoeing, kayaking and tubing equipment. Lead mining history, camping, hunting, fishing, canoeing, snowmobiling, plus the beautiful landscape all serve to make "The Catfish Capital of Wisconsin" a natural attraction.
