Memory Cafe – Sinsinawa
SINSINAWA, Wis.—As summer days turn toward fall, school days are on many minds. Join Sinsinawa Mound’s Memory Café Thursday, Aug. 29, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. as we look back to memories of our many days of “reading, and writing, and ’rithmetic” through puzzles and conversation, songs, poetry, photos, and games. Participants are invited to bring along photos and memorabilia related to their school days. This is our monthly gathering for people who are experiencing memory loss, mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer’s or other dementia to share common interests and friendship. Participants will find common understanding and a safe environment for those living with memory loss. Memory Café is open to anyone in the tristate area and is free. Please have a caregiver present. For more information, contact Coni LaBarbera at 608-748-4411, ext. 188, or visit our website at www.sinsinawa.org/moundcenter. Sinsinawa Mound, the Motherhouse for the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, is located in southwest Wisconsin on County Road Z, off Highway 11, about five miles northeast of Dubuque.
