Last month, I talked about a lack of snow and the fact that I was kind of happy about that. This is February and it’s a different story! Snow, Cold, and more Snow! We’ve had several below zero days and the snow plows have been active. I did say, “Grant County Wisconsin”! This is where we can go from -30 to 40+ degrees in 48 hours. The snowmobile maps have been flying out the door!
I am happy to provide anyone with the maps, so give me a call at 608-822-3501 if you want to enjoy that white stuff accumulating outside of my window. As I’ve said before, I am into warm and cozy rather than cold and invigorating. I love to watch the snowmobile riders zip across the fields from the warmth of a car or living room. It looks like great fun, but brrrrrrrrr….
For those like me, there are a lot of other things to do in Grant County! We have Winter’s Farmers Markets in both Platteville and Boscobel. The Taste of Fennimore is coming up in March with the best foods and drinks produced locally. If you like Fish Fry’s, check the days on our Event Calendar and take a trip to Cassville. The Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums are offering Lyceums on Sundays during March. Then, there are always the truly awesome shopping experiences to be had throughout the County. Check out our website for events and location information.
We look forward to meeting you!
