Veterans Memorials in Grant County WI

Men and women of Grant County Wisconsin have served in all branches of the military service through war and peace times.

Located on the unique square in downtown Lancaster, the first Civil War monument in the United States was dedicated on July 4, 1867 to the memory of the brave soldiers of Grant County who fell in defense of universal liberty in the great rebellion of 1861.

Several communities in the county have constructed Veterans Memorials in memory of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to honor all those who have served our country. We thank all Veterans for their service, both past and present.
